The Golden Age of Music 1940–1970 From Berlin to Gershwin to Carmichael to Cahn, this concert will feature a comprehensive collection of standards from the greatest American composers. The Art of the Countertenor Studio member Key’mon Murrah, countertenor Sophisticated and beautiful sacred music to dramatic and virtuosic opera arias, the countertenor voice is a unique male voice whose vocal range is that of a female contralto or mezzo-soprano. This concert will feature centuries worth of music representing the rich history of this voice type, featuring the music of Handel, Bach, and Vivaldi to today’s composers such as Dove, Muhly, and Hagen.

Seating is general admission. Tickets for each recital are $10.00 per person. Free for donors and subscribers, limited to the number of subscription seats purchased. Seating is limited. Tickets for those with reservations will be available at the door a half hour before the recital begins.
