A Special Evening of Zarzuela 

Serving Miami’s unique Latin community, FGO presents an unforgettable evening of Zarzuela featuring Miami’s own Elizabeth Caballero. Elizabeth Caballero is a Cuban-American lyric soprano. She immigrated to the United States via the Mariel Boatlift. Raised in Miami, she is a frequent guest of numerous American and international opera houses, festivals, and concert venues. Her range encompasses staples of the dramatic coloratura and full lyric repertoire, and she sang many of these roles on the stage of Florida Grand Opera. You will hear selections from many of your favorite zarzuelas, including Cecilia Valdés, María la O, La tabernera del puerto, and Luisa Fernanda, to name but a few.

Tickets are $20 per person. Seating is general admission. All events will be held in strict accordance with CDC guidelines for social distancing. Masks will be required.
