Opera & All Stars

Opera & All-Stars with Bernie Williams and Jonathan Tetelman & Friends

Presented by Florida Grand Opera and AllStar Encore
May 6, 2026

The concert of May 6 is set to make history as we blend the worlds of sport and opera, welcoming baseball legend Bernie Williams and operatic star Jonathan Tetelman to the stage at the Knight Concert Hall. These two remarkable artists will not only delight us with their incredible music and skill, but also convey a message: the worlds of sports and music are not as far apart as they seem. Both require immense discipline, resilience, the ability to handle rejection, and finely honed skills. Too often, these two universes are seen as separate: opera is sometimes viewed as too stuffy or exclusive, while sports are seen as less elevated or refined. We’re here to break down those barriers and show how beautifully they come together.

This wonderful concert isn’t just about Jonathan and Bernie; they’ll be joined by other friends for an unforgettable evening of cross-genre artistry. It’s a perfect way to close our Voice of Wellness launch, a cause dear to both Bernie and Jonathan. After opening at Carnegie Hall in January, we’re thrilled to welcome this show to Miami.

Bernie Williams

A celebrated figure in contemporary jazz, Williams has earned Grammy nominations for his rich, expressive guitar work and heartfelt compositions. Beyond his music, he serves as a national ambassador for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, using his platform to inspire awareness and advocacy. Before his rise in the music world, Williams made history as a four-time World Series champion with the New York Yankees.

Jonathan Tetelman

One of today’s most sought-after operatic tenors, Tetelman commands stages across the globe—from the Metropolitan Opera to Covent Garden. Known for his electrifying presence and emotionally charged performances, Tetelman brings depth, fire, and soul to every note.

Joined by Friends from the Worlds of Music and Sports

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, this concert is part of Florida Grand Opera’s Voices of Wellness initiative—shining a light on music’s role in emotional healing and human connection. Williams and Tetelman will be joined by special guests from both the music and sports communities, united by a common purpose: to elevate awareness and celebrate resilience through the universal language of music.
