SongFest Recital Series

Returning for the 2016–17 Season after a successful debut last year, Florida Grand Opera’s SongFest Series of recitals and master classes offers an opportunity for FGO patrons to engage with several themes that each of our mainstage operas touches upon. The FGO Young Artists will present four concerts exploring music written by the contemporaries, teachers, and pupils of the mainstage season composers (Bizet, Tchaikovsky, Martín, and Verdi), approaching similar topics with a different point of view. This is an opportunity to explore the extensive art song catalogue while remaining focused on the mainstage offerings—and while discovering the music of composers that may be new to you!
